About

IMG_4678I’m Jennifer, married to David for 16 wonderful years. We live in Texas with our 2 teens.

Our family loves to go on family vacations and we have a distinct love of all things Disney related.  My husband and I suffer from Vegas-itis and try to get there at least once a year (sometimes twice!)

I love to cook and bake…I’m a self-proclaimed chef and food network enthusiast. My daughter and I are also vegan, while the rest of my family is not — so I’m always creating new vegged out ways to make our family favorites so that we don’t starve!

I’d love to get to know you; feel free to leave me little bits of wisdom below :)

  1. Hi Jennifer!
Thanks for visiting our blog. That’s great that you’re a vegetarian and we’re glad you’re sharing your delicious plant-based recipes on your blog.

If you’re ever in CA visiting Disneyland, we’d like to invite you to our restaurant :)

    • Thanks! I really enjoyed your blog, I hope you don’t find mine boring — I’ve only been actively doing it for about a month or so. It’s really been a good release tho, I’m really loving it and making new friends along the way.

  2. Hi, Jennifer — Thanks for the likes on my blog and Facebook. It’s fun to read how much you love Disney. I grew up in Southern California, so Disneyland was a part of life. We were there at least once every summer and at some point during the school year. I continued the tradition when I had a child, but it’s been a while since I’ve been back. Have fun with your blog!

    • Thank you! We have a sickness..this is the first year since 2003 that we have not gone to Orlando for a vacation. We’re going to HI so that’s not a bad trade off but I’m still having withdrawal symptoms so I’ve been planning a quick trip around Thanksgiving. I think we’ll try Disneyland, I haven’t been there since 2002.

We have been looking around your blog…very nice! Thank you for stopping by Chancy’s blog and following.

    • Thanks for coming by! I’m a little behind on visiting my fellow bloggers today (busy busy day) but I’ll get around to it, I like to visit daily ;)

  4. Hi Jennifer! Wow. You certainly have a lot of energy and sound like you are living a fantastic life even if it is in the “hell-like state of Texas! LOL Love the picture of your kids on that great big chair! I guess it really is true what they say about everything being bigger in the state of Texas! :D

    • Hi! Thanks! Not sure about bigger but definitely hotter! Lol that pic was actually taken in Sandestin, FL. It’s a little old but it reminds me that my kids were little at one point! And I can definitely thank Starbucks for my energy…I’d probably die without them. Lol! Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Thanks for visiting my blog. You are one busy lady! I can relate to your love of travel – we like to travel as well (but often don’t have the funds to go on a ‘nice’ vacation.) We did get to go to Hawaii (Maui) in April and it was gorgeous – I think you’ll like it. Vacations make memories and I think your children will have some good ones to take into adulthood :)

    Jennifer,
It took me a long time to get here, all my apologies. But now I am and I will spam all your posts. You’ll be sorry you’ve ever invited me to your party.

  7. Hi Jennifer. Thanks for stopping by my blog. It’s great to meet you. I look forward to reading about your travel tips, recipes, and see your photos. I used to watch that American Horror Story. Is it coming back? :)

    • Woohoo! Thanks for stopping by too! Yeah it’s coming back but will be a totally different setting and story. Looks like it will be called “American Horror Story:Asylum” set in some institution in FL. The plus?? It will feature my favorite piece of eye candy, Adam Levine ;) yeeeaaah buddy!

Hi, I really enjoy reading your blog and have nominated you for the “Inspiring Blog Award” and “One Lovely Blog Award.” There are a few rules to this nomination (these aren’t my rules, so do what you want…no pressure) you need to give a shout out to me, of course, tell us 7 things about yourself and then nominate 15 bloggers, that’s the tricky part, if you don’t have 15, don’t worry, just pass it on to someone….share the joy by following this link http://changeforbetterme.wordpress.com

If you have all ready been nominated my apologies and pass it on anyway! We all love to be recognized for our work. Enjoy!

  9. Thanks for visiting our blog. We used to have a doggie sister but she went over the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year. We do have doggie friends living by us and we love to play with them. Mom says we think we’re part dogs! Mom said to tell you that she’s been to Disneyland several times and Disneyworld, too. Then she said something about big mouse ears but we didn’t understand. Nice to meet you and we’ll enjoy reading about your adventures ‘cuz Mom won’t let us out of the back yard.

  10. Thanks for following my blog. If you like food, and if you like recipes I have lots to choose from – healthy and not-healthy. All tasty! Please let me know if you try anything and how it turns out.

      • It can be tough getting back on the horse after you’ve been away. I’ve been through that a few times. It’s maybe a bit like cold water… you just have to make that plunge.
