Chefs De France Quick Review

I am having some major issues integrating this blog into my Yahoo hosted WordPress blog so in the meantime while I fight with getting everything straight….I didn’t want more time to go by without posting something fun.

This will be the quickest, shortest review of Chefs De France in EPCOT.  I thought about posting it because that lunch is one of our very favorite Disney memories.  We had not idea that we would get a visit from a special someone…….

Of course we made an ADR and so there was no wait.  We had one of the first 11am reservations.  Here’s a shot of our food….yum!

This was the soup and salad BEFORE the meal.  I must’ve gobbled down my entree before thinking about taking a picture of it!  But I did get a picture of the dessert….

The waiter came by and was very much interested in getting his picture taken….handsome, no?

We told him we were very happy to see him however …..what’s on the table??

Awe Remy….Amber wanted to touch him but the waiter advised against it.  He said he didn’t know where Amber’s hands had been and you know….Remy must stay sanitary for the kitchen!

BEST meal in all of WDW!

WDW Eats (and drinks) Not to be Missed!

We all have our favorites when visiting the parks…the food that makes your mouth water just by thinking about them.  I’m not talking your normal amusement park fare either…I’m talking about the good stuff you can only get at Walt Disney World!  What is your favorite?

Dole Whip – Magic Kingdom Adventureland

After you make your way down Main Street USA, take a left and cross over the bridge and under the “Adventureland” sign.  On your right at Aloha Isle you will find the most delectable frozen dessert you will ever experience.  A mix between ice cream and pineapple sherbet, the Dole Whip is a must-eat while you are visiting the Magic Kingdom.  You can get it straight up, swirled or as a float with pineapple juice (my personal favorite) It is especially refreshing after a long, hot Florida afternoon!  Yum! Don’t like pineapple?  You can get regular ice cream there but don’t feel bad if people look at you funny…

Grand Marnier Orange Slush – EPCOT, France

Another cold drink here — did I mention that Florida is HOT?  No time of day is the wrong time to enjoy one of these tasty concoctions!  This is definitely one that I never miss when visiting EPCOT.  I usually eat and drink my way through the World Showcase anyway but this is the icing on the cake.  It tastes like an orange slurpee with that little extra “punch” of the Grand Marnier.  My only complaint?  The glass is too small!

Frozen Chocolate Covered Bananas – All Parks

I am not an ice cream fan.  Ice cream is too heavy and the milk just doesn’t seem to sit right, especially if you are enjoying rides like Tower of Terror.  The frozen banana is one of the cheapest of the frozen treats offered at the several snack carts scattered around the parks.  If you don’t like peanuts or can’t eat them, then this one might not be for you because it is covered in yummy frozen chocolate and rolled in chopped peanuts.  My favorite place to have one?  At the Magic Kingdom inside Tomorrowland near the entrance to the Tomorrowland Raceway.  There is a nice shaded area there with benches in which you can sit and enjoy!

The Kitchen Sink Sundae – Beaches and Cream, Disney Beach Club Resort

We found this gem of a place a few years ago when my parents were staying at the Beach Club resort in the EPCOT area.  It was packed with people so we could tell right away it was very good.  While eating, all of a sudden lights and sirens started going off and we hear people yelling “Kitchen Sink!”.  What is the Kitchen Sink Sundae?  Well here you go:

Ladle of Chocolate Fudge
Ladle of Butterscotch
Ladle of Peanut butter
2 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
2 Scoops Chocolate Ice Cream
2 Scoops Strawberry Ice Cream
1 Scoop Coffee Ice Cream
1 Scoop Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Pineapple Topping
Strawberry Topping
Entire Banana
Entire Can of Whipped Cream
Large Brownie
Angel Food Cake
Entire Milky Way Bar
4 Oreos
Every single type of sprinkle in the house
Chocolate Syrup
Marshmallow Topping
And topped with a handful of Maraschino Cherries

Hope you bring your army with you if you wish to tackle this monster on your next visit!
