Playing Catch Up

I have to apologize that my blog postings have been spotty over the last few weeks. I don’t know exactly what it is, but I’ve just felt a bit overwhelmed and under the weather…which has left me in a brain fog and uninspired. I really need to play catch up today and reply to a few award nominations I’ve received recently.
The first I received over a week ago from Jackie at Change is Good Right? and I promised to reply to the “rules” at a later date. So, for the “Wonderful Team Member Readership Award” here we go….14 is a big number but I have some favorites I think are deserving:

Lady Goo Goo Gaga
Monica’s Tangled Web

themisadventuresofmisaki
Go Jules Go
Sincerely, Slapdash
Our Life in Action
Adventures of a Dog Mom
Lulu’s Musings
Life of Bun
Logos con carne
thehealthywarrior
Motherhood Is An Art
Long Life Cats and Dogs
Doggy’s Style

If you’d like to accept and participate in the award cycle, here’s the logo that you can proudly slap up and display on your blog:

A few days later I received the “A Lovely Blog” award from my two legged and four legged friends over at Our Furever Family.  I have been nominated for this before, however that doesn’t take away from my gratitude of being mentioned again.  As a sign of thanks — please, I urge you to pay them a visit over at their blog page.  I promise, you won’t regret it!

I will keep with the spirit of this award and list 7 more things about myself:

~I played a nun in my 9th grade production of “The Sound of Music”
~I won 1st place in my 5th grade science fair
~I’ve been to 5 Billy Joel concerts
~I once told Paula Abdul that she looked “tired”….yes, to her face
~I prefer Vodka over Tequila
~I’m severely allergic to cats
~My first car was a blue,1989 Chevy Beretta

I know that some of you don’t participate in the awards process and that is ok.  I really think it is a wonderful thing.  It’s great validation that other bloggers read and appreciate what you have to say.  I love the support system and whether I’ve received the award already or not, I will always be thankful for the thought behind it!

  1. Congratulations on your awards. Sorry you are still feeling like you’re in a brain fog but it was a great post. My, my, so you’re the clever one, are you – first place in science fair and all!
Thank you so very, very much for the award. Like you, I really appreciate them and for us, this is a new one, which makes it doubly special (not that I mind receiving the same ones more than once). I will do my utmost to get a post out earlier than the last one 🙂

    • No worries, no hurries… yeah I did a project called “Cabbage Capers” in which I tested the acidity of certain things with litmus paper made out of cabbage juice! Funny the things that you remember most vividly…i think I was only like 10 or 11 at the time but remember it like it was yesterday!

Great post! I know all about foggy brains, I’ve had one all week too. It sucks. Hope you get to feeling better and you deserve all the awards you get! I also am deeply appreciative of any award I receive. And yes, I want to hear the Abdul story too 😉

  3. Thank you so much! I am honored. And I’m glowing–and not because I have a fever (which I don’t). So, thank you for the award.

Yes, I agree, it’s always nice getting awards and is a validation that our blogging is worthwhile. Congratulations, to you, for your awards. To show my appreciation, I’ve added you to my blogroll. After all, you’ve got a very nice blog here.
